Final Fantasy 14 Hit by Another DDoS Attack After Patch 7.4 Launch

Final Fantasy 14 has suffered another DDoS attack, with North American data centers taking the brunt of the disruption. The incident struck on December 19 around 3:30 PM ET, only days after Patch 7.4, Into the Mist, went live.

Players reported sudden disconnects, lag spikes, and long login queues shortly after the attack began. This marks a return of issues that previously affected FF14 servers during a prolonged wave of DDoS attacks back in November.

Square Enix confirmed it is aware of the situation and continues to monitor and mitigate the attacks, though full immunity from DDoS traffic remains impossible.
