OpenAI is giving users more control over how ChatGPT sounds. A new update lets people adjust the chatbot’s warmth, enthusiasm, and emoji usage directly from the Personalization menu.

Users can now choose whether ChatGPT feels more expressive, more reserved, or neutral, alongside controls for formatting choices like headers and lists. This builds on OpenAI’s earlier tone presets, including Professional, Candid, and Quirky styles introduced last fall.

The move reflects OpenAI’s ongoing effort to let users shape not just what ChatGPT says, but how it says it.
