Deltarune Chapter 5 Could Be the Longest Yet

While Toby Fox hasn’t shared an exact runtime for Deltarune Chapter 5, he teased that it will contain “hours of fun” — and past trends suggest this could be the biggest chapter so far.

Each new release has grown longer since Chapter 1 debuted in 2018. Chapter 4 reportedly took roughly twice as long to fully complete as the original chapter, with Chapters 2 and 3 landing somewhere in between. If that trajectory continues, completionists may be looking at 10+ hours of gameplay in Chapter 5.

Fox also noted upcoming console optimization, including potential challenges tied to Nintendo Switch 2 features like mouse mode. If all goes smoothly, Chapter 5 could be both the most ambitious — and most time-consuming — Deltarune chapter yet.
