Delaware Supreme Court Reinstates Elon Musk’s $56B Tesla Pay Package

The Delaware Supreme Court has overturned last year’s Chancery Court ruling, reinstating Elon Musk’s 2018 Tesla pay package. Adjusted for Tesla’s stock price, the package is now worth around $140 billion. The court ruled that canceling the award left Musk “uncompensated for his time and efforts over a period of six years.” Musk reacted on X, calling the decision “vindicated” and thanking supporters. The ruling likely ends the years-long legal battle that partly prompted Musk to move Tesla’s incorporation to Texas.
