Borderlands 4 Holiday Event Brings 5x Legendary Drop Rates

Gearbox has kicked off Season’s Lootings, a new holiday event in Borderlands 4 that dramatically boosts Legendary loot drops through January 8, 2026. During the event, players are up to five times more likely to see Legendary gear drop, making this one of the most generous loot windows the game has offered so far.

The event excludes Big Encore Bosses and Bloomreaper, but it’s still the ideal time to finish builds, farm future characters, or jump back in after a break. Gearbox says Legendaries will remain “rare enough to feel special,” but for many players, this could finally cut down the grind that has drawn criticism since launch.
