Coinbase Adds Blik Payments in Poland

Coinbase is expanding in Poland by integrating with Blik, one of the country’s most popular mobile payment systems with nearly 20 million users. The move comes through a partnership with European payments processor PPro, aiming to simplify crypto transactions for local users.

Coinbase executive Côme Prost, who joined the company in February 2024, emphasized that improving local payment rails is key to driving crypto adoption. This expansion complements Coinbase’s MiCA license in the EU, even as Poland struggles to pass its own national crypto legislation.
