Binance Freezes Only 17% of Funds Linked to Upbit Hack
-

South Korean outlet KBS reports that investigators asked Binance to freeze ₩470M KRW (~$370K) in Solana linked to the Nov. 27 Upbit hack — but the exchange froze only ~$55K, about 17% of the requested amount.
KBS says Binance delayed action for 15 hours, citing the need for additional verification.
Upbit lost $36M in Solana-based assets during the breach and is now working with global exchanges to trace and freeze the remaining funds. -
Freezing 17% is a start, but it shows how quickly hackers move funds across chains.

Recovering stolen funds is tough, but these international actions show real progress.
