Awear: A Wearable to Track and Reduce Stress
-

Antonio Forenza, former head of R&D at Rakuten Symphony, has developed Awear, a wearable device that monitors brainwaves to measure stress. Using EEG technology, the small behind-the-ear device tracks high-frequency beta waves, which can indicate prolonged stress. The readings are sent to an app that provides AI-powered coaching to help users manage stress and build emotional resilience. Forenza calls it a way to “lose 40 pounds of stress” — similar to how wearables track physical activity.
