Veo 3 Can Now Turn Images Into Talking, Singing Characters – With Sound!
-
Hey folks,
Just spotted a major upgrade in Google’s video generation tool — Veo 3 just dropped a game-changing feature. Now, it doesn’t just animate images… it brings them to life with full audio — including character speech, music, and sound effects.
️
What’s new in Veo 3?Previously, Veo 2 could only animate static images with motion — no sound. But now, if you're using Veo to create videos from a single image, you can select Veo 3 as the model, and it will:
Add spoken lines to your character (based on your prompt), Sync lip movements to the speech (yes, it looks real), Include background music and sound FX you describe.
Someone even used it to create a series of musical videos set in different countries. Veo 3 generated vocals in multiple languages, matched lip sync perfectly, and built totally different audio landscapes depending on the scene.
(Shoutout to TechHalla for the examples.)
Another user recreated the infamous AI mukbang format — you know, those food-eating videos, but with animated characters. 🤯
Access & PricingReleased in May 2025 Available for Pro ($20/mo) and Ultra ($125/mo) tiers Comes with 1,000–12,500 monthly credits Animating an image with sound: 20 credits in Fast mode 100 credits in Quality mode
Honestly, this is opening up insane creative potential — imagine building entire content series just from a single image and a text prompt. The future of content creation is here. Has anyone else played around with Veo 3 yet? Would love to see your clips!
