Meta just landed one of its biggest design hires ever: Alan Dye, the executive who led Apple’s UI team for the past decade, is officially joining the company.
Dye will work on strengthening AI-driven interfaces for Meta’s next-gen hardware—from smart glasses to VR headsets—and will report directly to CTO Andrew Bosworth.
At Apple, Dye’s role will be filled by Steve Lemay, a veteran designer involved in nearly every major Apple interface since 1999. -
