The Chicago Mercantile Exchange halted trading for nearly 10 hours from Thursday into Friday after a cooling failure at the CyrusOne data center in Illinois.
The disruption froze positions and halted order placement across markets.
CME restored services by 1:30 pm UTC on Friday, but traders slammed the breakdown as one of the exchange’s most disruptive outages in years.
