Pony.ai to Triple Robotaxi Fleet by 2026

Chinese autonomous vehicle company Pony.ai revealed plans to expand its robotaxi fleet from ~961 today to over 3,000 by the end of 2026. The company currently offers commercial robotaxi services in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, and aims to scale into eight additional countries including Qatar and Singapore via partnerships with Bolt and Uber.

Shares jumped 6% on Nasdaq following the announcement.
