Character.AI has introduced “Stories,” a new interactive fiction format designed for users under 18, who can no longer access the platform’s chatbots as of this week.
The company says Stories offer a guided, safer alternative to open-ended AI conversations amid rising concerns — and lawsuits — linking chatbots to mental-health risks.
