Khurram Dara, a former policy lawyer at Coinbase and most recently a regulatory principal at Bain Capital Crypto, has officially launched his 2026 campaign for New York Attorney General. Dara says AG Letitia James has waged “lawfare” against crypto firms and argues his industry experience is needed. He plans to run as a Republican, emphasizing affordability and New Yorkers’ cost-of-living concerns.
