Mastercard Aims to Reduce Errors in Crypto Transfers

By linking verified aliases to wallets, Mastercard hopes to prevent mistakes caused by copying long hexadecimal addresses. Users can also request soulbound tokens on Polygon to prove wallet ownership.
Raj Dhamodharan, EVP at Mastercard, said the program “builds trust in digital token transfers,” and Marc Boiron, CEO of Polygon Labs, added that “self-custody becomes simple” with the system.
