Kraken Hits $20B Valuation After Major Funding Round

Crypto exchange Kraken says it’s now valued at $20 billion after securing $800 million in new funding. The round was split into two tranches, including a $200 million strategic investment from Citadel Securities, which also partnered with Kraken to provide expertise in liquidity, risk management, and market structure.
Other backers included Jane Street, DRW Venture Capital, HSG, Tribe Capital, and a significant commitment from the family office of Kraken Co-CEO Arjun Sethi.
