Harvard University has dramatically increased its investment in BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF (IBIT), boosting its holdings by over 250% in Q3.
New filings show the Ivy League giant now holds 6.8 million IBIT shares worth $442.8M, compared to just 1.9M shares earlier this year.
ETF analyst Eric Balchunas called the move “super rare,” noting that endowments are typically anti-ETF — making Harvard’s decision a massive stamp of approval for Bitcoin exposure. -
A 250% increase isn’t casual—it’s a strategic bet on long-term BTC appreciation.
