Destiny 2 Hits New Low in Player Numbers
-

Destiny 2, Bungie’s flagship title, continues to see declining engagement. The latest DLC, The Edge of Fate, launched in July 2025 with the lowest concurrent Steam player count of any expansion.
Currently, the game sees about 171,000 daily online players across all platforms, marking its all-time low. Despite this, Bungie has three more expansions planned: Renegades (Dec 2025), Shattered Cycle (Summer 2026), and The Alchemist (Winter 2026). -
Numbers don’t lie — the community fatigue is showing hard.

This is Bungie’s wake-up call to rebuild trust and content direction.
