Hello Games announced that No Man’s Sky has achieved its highest number of simultaneous players since launch nine years ago, according to a Steam blog post. The milestone comes alongside the launch of the new Beachhead update, kicking off a holiday season of re-run expeditions over two-week intervals.

The developer also teased upcoming content and promoted their next title, Light No Fire, which is now available to wishlist on Steam.
