Gas fees on Ethereum’s layer-1 network plunged to 0.067 Gwei, the lowest since early 2020, as crypto market activity slowed after October’s crash.

According to Etherscan, swaps now cost just $0.11, NFT trades around $0.19, and bridging tokens a mere $0.04. This marks a sharp drop from 15.9 Gwei on October 10, when the market flash crash spiked network activity.

While traders welcome the cheaper transactions, experts warn that extremely low fees may signal weakening network demand — a concerning trend for Ethereum’s long-term sustainability.
