Freelancers and contractors incorporating as limited companies will face significantly higher fees from 1 February 2026.

Digital incorporation will rise to £100 (paper: £124).

Same-day incorporation through software jumps to £156.

Annual confirmation statements will cost £50 digitally or £110 on paper.

The changes will hit thousands of sole traders seeking limited liability, tax efficiency, and professional credibility. Contractors are advised to plan ahead and budget for the new costs.
