US Senate Continues Crypto Bill Talks Amid Record Government Shutdown
-

Despite the longest government shutdown in US history, lawmakers are continuing discussions over the digital asset market structure bill, one of the most consequential pieces of crypto legislation to date.
According to Politico, Senator John Boozman plans to meet with White House crypto and AI czar David Sacks and Senator Cory Booker as committees prepare a final discussion draft.
While the House passed the bill in July, Senate progress has slowed due to the shutdown and partisan debates over DeFi provisions.
