Rivian Launches Industrial AI Spinoff — Mind Robotics 🤖

Rivian has unveiled its second spinoff this year — a new venture called Mind Robotics, focused on applying industrial AI and robotics to optimize physical-world operations.

CEO RJ Scaringe says the goal is to “develop robotic solutions that make manufacturing more efficient,” leveraging Rivian’s internal data to build a robotics “flywheel.” Scaringe will serve as chairman of Mind Robotics, with Rivian retaining a shareholder stake.

The new company has already raised $115 million in seed funding, led by VC firm Eclipse — whose partner Jiten Behl, a former Rivian executive, confirmed the investment.
