YouTube has paid over $8 billion to the music industry between July 2024 and July 2025, marking a new record for the platform.
The payout includes labels, publishers, songwriters, and artists.
YouTube’s Global Head of Music, Lyor Cohen, called it “meaningful, sustained progress” for global creators.
The platform now has 125M Music and Premium subscribers and 2B logged-in monthly music viewers.
