    The Spanish government will significantly increase autónomos (self-employed) contributions starting in 2026 to strengthen pensions and align payments with actual income.

    Monthly fees could rise from €200–€590 to €217–€796 depending on earnings.

    The reform is gradual and could last until 2031.

    Freelancers should plan budgets carefully to accommodate higher contributions.
