Final Fantasy Classics Get Physical Switch Release in North America

Square Enix announced on Oct. 10, 2025, that Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, and Final Fantasy IX are finally getting physical releases on Nintendo Switch in North America.

Release date: Dec. 9, 2025

FFVII and FFVIII will be sold as a Twin Pack ($39.99)

FFIX will be standalone ($39.99)

While physical cartridges have been available in Asia and Europe, this marks the first official NA release. The titles, originally launched digitally on Switch in 2019, are updated PS1 remasters with modern features to streamline gameplay.
