As Battlefield 6 launches on Oct. 10, EA and Activision are reigniting their long-standing FPS rivalry.

Beta Numbers:

Battlefield 6 peak concurrent players: 521,079 (Steam)

CoD: Black Ops 7 peak concurrent players: 99,574 (Steam)

Interestingly, 62% of Battlefield 6’s Steam wishlists came from players who also play CoD. In response, Activision is running a free week of Black Ops 6, coinciding with Battlefield’s multiplatform release.

Fans on Reddit hope this renewed competition will spark an “arms race” between the two FPS giants.
