Delivery Firms Respond to Employment Law Crackdown

Following the Deliveroo judgment, Uber Eats and other food delivery companies stopped hiring freelancers directly, instead using recruitment agencies to comply with employment laws.
The Pensioenfederatie says it now pays €1.3 billion annually due to court rulings on employment status, with employers liable for up to five years of pension contributions under Dutch law.
