DefiLlama Delists Aster Perpetual Data Amid Wash Trading Concerns
-

Decentralized exchange Aster faces scrutiny after analytics platform DefiLlama announced plans to delist the platform’s perpetual trading volume data.
DefiLlama cited concerns over potential wash trading, noting that Aster’s trading volumes closely mirrored Binance perpetual data across major pairs like XRPUSDT and ETHUSDT. The platform said the lack of granular order data prevented verification of organic trading activity.
Following the announcement, Aster’s token ASTER dropped over 10%, trading at $1.86 at the time of reporting. The community remains divided, with some arguing the on-ramping of Binance liquidity could be innovative, while others call it manipulation.
