Major automakers including Tesla, Ford, GM, Hyundai, and Rivian reported record EV deliveries in Q3 2025 as U.S. consumers rushed to buy before the $7,500 federal tax credit expired on September 30.
Tesla alone delivered 497,099 vehicles, a 29% jump from the previous quarter. Analysts say the key question now is how automakers will manage potential slowdowns in a post-credit market while protecting margins as 2026 models arrive.

People always rush before incentives end. EV demand shows how powerful tax policy can be.

This spike proves consumer interest is there—affordability is the real barrier.
