The BNB Chain’s official X account, with nearly 4 million followers, was compromised on Wednesday. Hackers used the account to post phishing links targeting cryptocurrency wallets.

Binance founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao confirmed the breach and warned users: “Do NOT connect your wallet” to any suspicious links. The BNB Chain team worked quickly with X to regain control and submit takedown requests for the phishing sites.

Users are reminded to always double-check URLs, even from verified accounts.
