Fubo shareholders approved the company’s merger with Hulu Live TV, a deal that will give Disney majority ownership at roughly 70%. The merger aims to strengthen Hulu as a competitor to YouTube TV, combining Fubo’s 6 million subscribers with Hulu Live TV to expand live sports offerings. David Gandler, Fubo’s CEO, will oversee the merged operations. The deal still requires regulatory approval, but could introduce bundled Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN packages for subscribers.
