Runway just dropped Act-Two — Now your characters can DANCE like YOU! 🎭🎥

Okay, this is seriously cool: Runway has launched Act-Two, their new next-gen motion capture tool that lets you animate characters using real human movement — from a simple image!

Yep, you read that right — take a pic of your character, upload a video of someone moving (you, a friend, a dancer, a cat, who knows), and BOOM: Runway makes your still image come to life with head, face, hand, and full-body motion. It even animates the background!

Some details:

Currently only available for Enterprise users & content creator partners, but public rollout is “coming soon™” — so keep an eye out!

You’ll need Gen-4 as the video model + two references:
→ A video with movement (aka your motion guide)
→ A picture or video of the character you want to animate

If you use a still image as your reference, Act-Two adds movement AND background animation.

If you use a video, it keeps the background and camera motion from it too! 🎡

Max video length: 30 seconds

Costs 5 credits per second, minimum 3 seconds
