“$150 Ad”: Videos by the Founder of AI Service InVideo Go Viral on Social Media
-
On social media, videos by Sanket Shah, founder of the AI service InVideo, which recreate ads from Starbucks, Rhode, and other brands, have gone viral. Comments vary: some are impressed and want to buy a subscription, while others doubt the videos were generated from scratch.
In mid-September 2025, Sanket Shah recreated an ad for Starbucks’ new Strato Frappuccino, which has amassed 79 million views on YouTube. According to him, the 15-second video cost $150 to make.
The video went viral on X, with users claiming that InVideo “has changed the advertising market.” On Shah’s page, there are also examples of videos featuring products from Apple, Rhode, Patagonia, and other companies.
A Rhode glitter video reportedly cost $100, according to Shah.
A video replicating an Apple ad reportedly cost $200.
In the comments, some say they are ready to use the service if it truly “does all the work for them.” Others believe Shah is “just copying” existing content and do not believe the videos were generated from scratch — he has not shared the prompts used.
Sanket Shah, a University of Michigan graduate, founded InVideo in 2017 in Mumbai. In 2020, the company raised $15 million.
The platform allows users to generate videos from text prompts, create UGC-style ads from product photos, and even produce “talking” AI authors. Subscription prices start at $28 per month, with the basic plan allowing up to 50 minutes of video generation per month.
