Stablecoin Infrastructure Draws Capital as Market Tops $308B
-

Investment in stablecoin-focused infrastructure is accelerating as the global stablecoin market climbs to $308.3 billion, up more than 50% from January 2025, according to DeFiLlama.
The trend follows the passage of the US GENIUS Act, which has fueled investor interest in payment and settlement platforms built around dollar-backed tokens. Recent major raises include Stripe’s blockchain project Tempo, which secured $500 million at a $5 billion valuation, and Rain, which raised $250 million in a Series C round valuing the company at $1.95 billion.
Smaller players are also gaining traction, with VelaFi raising $20 million in Series B funding. The influx of capital signals growing confidence in stablecoins as infrastructure for cross-border payments and real-world transactions.
