Telegram just rolled out a shiny new ad format, and yep — it’s in your videos now. But don’t panic: Premium users are still ad-free (carry on sipping your latte in peace
).

Video Ads Are In
Advertisers can now run text-based banners inside Telegram’s video player, using the Telegram Ads platform.
The ads appear at the bottom of the screen — no, they won't block that spicy meme content you're watching. Ads pop up 5 seconds into the video. They stick around for 9 seconds, then you can close 'em. If you ignore them, they’ll politely vanish after 30 seconds. New ad? Not until 2 minutes later — so it’s not too spammy.
How Much to Annoy Users?
Starting at €1 CPM (that’s per 1,000 impressions) Topics like Politics & Incidents? Just €0.5 CPM — controversial content is on sale, apparently. 😅
Where Can Ads Lead?
You can direct viewers to:
Your website A Telegram channel A bot A user profile Or even an invite link
Your ad text can be up to 160 characters, so make it snappy.
