Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) — the process of miners or validators reordering blockchain transactions for profit — continues to deter financial institutions from entering DeFi.
According to Aditya Palepu, CEO of DEX Labs, institutions avoid DeFi because of transaction visibility and front-running risks.
“Without privacy in order flow, institutions can’t safely participate — and when they stay out, retail users lose too,” Palepu said.
