Griffin Gaming Partners Acquires Playdigious for $12.2M

Griffin Gaming Partners has acquired indie publisher Playdigious from Swedish company Fragbite in an all-cash deal worth $12.2 million. The acquisition includes all of Playdigious’ assets, shares, and game publishing rights.

Under the terms, Fragbite will retain 90% of net revenue from Playdigious Originals’ preexisting PC catalog, which features titles like Crown Gambit, Fretless – The Wrath of Riffson, The Almost Gone, and Linkito.

CEO of Fragbite, Stefan Tengvall, called the deal “indicative of a successful investment” and said it supports Fragbite’s ongoing strategic initiatives, including its Bitcoin Treasury plan.

That’s a smart acquisition — Playdigious has proven success in the indie-to-mobile space.
