OKX has launched Exchange OS, a new platform designed to let users create their own spot, perpetual, and prediction markets directly on shared blockchain infrastructure.

Instead of relying on isolated exchanges with separate liquidity pools, Exchange OS aims to unify:
• Trading
• Margin systems
• Settlement
• Liquidation engines
• Risk management

The platform runs on OKX’s Ethereum Layer-2 network called X Layer and reportedly supports up to 300,000 transactions per second with millisecond-level latency.

One of the first planned use cases will be a FIFA World Cup prediction market, signaling OKX’s growing push into event-based trading and tokenized financial infrastructure.

The larger goal is clear: turning crypto exchanges into modular financial operating systems rather than standalone trading apps.
