All three products offer exposure to HYPE but they work differently and suit different types of investors. BHYP, issued by Bitwise on the NYSE, holds HYPE directly and uses the company's own in-house staking infrastructure through its Bitwise Onchain Solutions division. It charges a 0.34% fee, waived for the first month on the first $500 million. THYP, issued by 21Shares on Nasdaq, tracks HYPE through the FTSE Hyperliquid Index as its pricing benchmark and may stake between 30% and 70% of its holdings through Figment. It carries a lower 0.30% fee. Both BHYP and THYP are spot products structured outside the Investment Company Act of 1940, meaning shareholders do not benefit from the same oversight protections that apply to registered mutual funds.
TXXH is a fundamentally different product and should not be treated as a straightforward alternative to the other two. It targets 2x daily HYPE exposure through a leveraged structure, charges a significantly higher 1.89% fee, and is registered as a 40-Act ETF under the Investment Company Act of 1940. Because it rebalances daily, returns over periods longer than a single day can diverge significantly from simply doubling HYPE's performance over that same period due to compounding effects. It is designed for short-term tactical use only, and investors could theoretically lose the entire value of their position within a single trading day.
