By early 2026, that range had collapsed to roughly 15,000 to 20,000 per upload — a decline that cannot be explained by a normal bear market dip. This cycle topped on apathy rather than euphoria, which means the massive view counts creators built their business models around in 2021 may have been a historical anomaly rather than a baseline to return to.
