The company reported 400 million unique readers, 50,000 active users, 10 billion emails sent, and surpassed $28 million in annual recurring revenue — numbers it calls its best quarter ever.

For freelancers, platform stability and audience size matter. A growing platform means more discoverability, better tooling investment, and less risk of the service shutting down or pivoting. The fact that 50% of existing users have already migrated their podcasts to Beehiiv, and 25% have launched entirely new ones, signals that creators are genuinely adopting these features rather than ignoring them.

More is coming too — video support for podcasts is due in Q2, and ads are expected later this year, opening up yet another potential revenue stream for freelancers on the platform.
