MicroStrategy, now operating as Strategy, is proposing a shift in how it pays dividends on its STRC preferred stock. Instead of monthly payouts, the company wants to move to a semi-monthly schedule, effectively doubling how often investors receive income while keeping the annual yield at around 11.5%.

The idea behind the move is simple. Monthly dividends often create predictable price swings, where investors sell after receiving payouts and then re-enter before the next cycle. By splitting payments into smaller, more frequent distributions, Strategy aims to smooth out these fluctuations, stabilize the stock closer to its $100 target, and improve overall liquidity.
