BitMine is making one of the boldest bets in crypto by accumulating Ethereum at scale. The company now holds nearly 4.87 million ETH—over 4% of the total supply—and is targeting 5% through its “Alchemy of 5%” strategy.

To fund this expansion, BitMine raised over $10 billion through stock sales, using most of the capital to acquire more ETH. At the same time, it launched its MAVAN staking platform, aiming to generate hundreds of millions annually through staking rewards.

With its recent move to the New York Stock Exchange, BitMine is positioning itself as a major institutional player in the Ethereum ecosystem. The big question now is whether staking income and long-term ETH growth can outweigh the short-term volatility of holding such a massive crypto reserve.
