Grayscale Research noted that many leading altcoins are trading near historically depressed levels, presenting what it describes as a potentially compelling entry point.

The firm’s internal altcoin basket has declined approximately 59% from its highs and has only recovered about 2% from its lows since early 2024. Despite this, crypto markets showed relative strength in March, with Grayscale’s crypto index rising around 4% while the S&P 500 fell roughly 5%.

This divergence highlights a shift where digital assets are not always moving in tandem with traditional markets, particularly during periods of macroeconomic pressure.
