Tether has reportedly engaged KPMG to conduct its first full independent financial audit — a major milestone for the issuer of USDT. Despite managing over $184 billion in market value, the company has never completed a comprehensive audit since its founding.

Previously, Tether relied on quarterly attestations from BDO Italia, which only verified reserves at specific moments in time. A full audit could significantly improve transparency and reshape how regulators and institutions view the stablecoin giant.
