Austin Campbell argued that if cooperation fails, both local banks and crypto firms risk losing ground to major banks that dominate the financial system.

Campbell believes stablecoins could actually help community banks overcome technological and regulatory limitations, rather than threaten them. According to him, the current narrative pushing banks and crypto companies into opposing sides may ultimately strengthen large financial institutions while limiting innovation and consumer benefits.
