The Aave Chan Initiative (ACI), a key governance delegate within the Aave DAO, announced it will not renew its engagement and plans to wind down operations over the next four months. Founder Marc Zeller said ACI will complete outstanding commitments and transfer infrastructure responsibilities before officially closing. The decision follows growing concerns about governance standards and voting dynamics within the DAO.

ACI stated that recent proposal processes raised red flags about independence and transparency. Specifically, the group argued that major funding recipients appeared to participate in votes affecting their own budgets. As a result, ACI concluded that its role as an independent service provider was no longer viable under the current governance environment.
