World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a crypto company linked to US President Donald Trump’s family, is under investigation following reports of a $500 million investment tied to an Abu Dhabi royal. California Representative Ro Khanna said he has opened a probe into the deal, citing concerns over transparency and public trust.

According to reports, the investment was backed by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE’s national security adviser, granting him a 49% stake in the firm. Khanna has requested documents and detailed disclosures from WLFI, including records related to revenue sharing and potential conflicts of interest.

Trump denied personal knowledge of the deal, saying his family members were handling the business.
